The name “Clerisy” derives from Latin and translates as “a gathering of the intelligent”.

Clerisy was established in 2006 by a group of medical health professionals with the purpose of bringing innovative medical devices & products to the consumer health market.

The Company has begun this mission in bringing to market the world’s first patented, FDA cleared Clerisy NeuroNasal Strip™.  The unique delivery device uses peel-and-release micro-burst technology to instantly deliver pre-infused Essential Oils, OTC & Rx (prescription) medications through the olfactory (nasal) system for direct-to-brain action and sustained response (4 hrs) without the use of pills, sprays or powders. Our NeuroNasal Strip™ is a safe and effective delivery system whose medication does not pass through the liver, lungs or gut which is often the cause of undesirable side effects.

The Company’s core focuses now transition to establishing the NeuroNasal Strip™ as a category leader in the Essential Oil and OTC medicant delivery markets, obtaining approval for the Rx/prescription market and developing sustained-release delivery devices under its Clerisy brand.

Ross Lyndon-James


Over a thirty five year entrepreneurial business career, Ross has co-founded, funded and developed a number of publicly traded companies encompassing breakthrough ferroelectric memory chip development and manufacturing, smartwatch & smart tag RFID technologies, renewable energy systems, reverse osmosis water treatment and Imax theaters. Unlisted companies include sport & leisure apparel manufacturing and hydroponic plant cultivation. He has extensive experience in the capital markets having conducted numerous IPOs, reverse mergers and business acquisitions in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom in the capacities of Co-founder, Chairman, President and CEO.

Mary E. Maida (PhD Neuroscience)


Dr. Maida's background includes Bachelor’s degrees in microbiology, finance, and operations management. She holds a Master's Degree in Neurobiology and Anatomy, and a Ph.D. in molecular neuroscience, each of which was earned at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester, N.Y. Prior to her return to medical school, Dr. Maida served as CFO for a privately held consulting firm involved in the development of shopping malls and other commercial properties throughout the United States. She established Clerisy Corp to provide medical professionals with the means to fully commercialize their privately held intellectual property (IP).

Kerry O’Banion (MD, PhD)


Kerry is an internationally recognized scientist specializing in brain inflammation, epilepsy, brain radiation, and many neurological disorders. A veteran, in neuroscience, Dr. O’Banion’s current research focuses upon pro-inflammatory cytokines and lipid mediators in traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease, radiation injury, and psychiatric illnesses. Dr. O’Banion is a distinguished leader at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he directs the NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program as Principal Investigator and serves as the Director of Medical Neurosciences courses. Dr. O’Banion is a research leader in individual and program grants with an outstanding record of NIH funding. His research in neuro-inflammation provided the mechanistic underpinnings that led to the development of Celebrex, the COX-2 inhibitor pain relievers, for which he and colleagues were awarded U.S. patents. As a result he was appointed Assistant Professor of Neurology and initiated research into neuro-inflammation and its role in neurodegenerative disease. Dr. O’Banion received both his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois, School of Medicine, at Urbana - Champaign, IL, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and served as valedictorian for his graduation class.

David L. Felten MD. Ph.D


David was recently Vice President, Research, and Medical Director of the Research Institute at Beaumont Health System, and the founding Associate Dean for research at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He oversaw the clinical translational research and basic research. Dr. Felten received a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969, an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1973, and a Ph.D. in anatomy/neurosciences through the Institute for Neurological Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Prize Fellowship, and two separate 10-year MERIT Awards from institutes (Aging, Mental Health) at the National Institutes of Health.

Frank Montemurro

Chief Marketing Officer

Frank Montemurro (BA, Fordham University, MBA, Columbia) is a professional brand builder who has sold over $1 B on TV and over $500 M to brick & mortar retailers. Following consulting with Colgate, Gillette, 3M and Monsanto for new products, Frank held several senior sales roles with American Home Products before settling into the TV/Direct-to-Consumer markets. A seasoned expert in devising marketing strategy, product positioning, brand imagery, advertising, Frank has successfully marketed brands on TV shopping channels including HSN, QVC Worldwide (US, UK, Germany, Italy, Japan and China), TSC (Canada), and HSE24 Germany along with major brick and mortar retailers - Walgreen’s CVS, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Publix and Wegmans.  

Geza Molnar


Geza is a senior financial executive who brings over 30 years financial management and compliance, operational and managerial experience, and has experience working for both public and private companies as a Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Molnar has wide ranging experience in the development and management of financial controls, financial reporting, and treasury functions in a growth company environment, as well as experience of directing the financial and operational activities of overseas facilities. He qualified as a CPA in 1979 with Price Waterhouse & Co, now part of PWC in Los Angeles after earning a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Southern California.

Malcolm A. Leissring (PhD Neurobiology)

Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Leissring is an award-winning biomedical researcher who is internationally recognized for his work on insulin-degrading enzyme (IDE), the principal enzyme involved in the inactivation and clearance of insulin. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, a Master’s degree from San Francisco State University, a Ph.D. from UC Irvine, and conducted his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School in the laboratory of Dennis J. Selkoe, M.D., who is widely considered as the world’s leading researcher in Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Leissring has held faculty positions at Harvard Medical School, at The Scripps Research Institute, and Mayo Clinic and currently works at UC Irvine’s Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND).
